Red dragon Halal Chinese Restaurant 86 mile end road

This is a chinese buffet run by people from bangladesh. All the meat is halal and lots of muslims eat there and love the novelty of it.
Prices for the buffet are 5.95 for lunch and 7.95 in the evening though food is the same at all times.
In brief the starters were rubbish and mains not bad 4 the price.

Since this time I have been back there once or twice. If you are on a budget this place could be quite good but it smells damp and as the food is left standing around if people do not eat it this is a serious turnoff. The cold wind of Environmental Health needs to blow through this restaurant before I would consider eating there again. This is my updated view as of January 2009!

I went there last week and the atmosphere was friendly and the FOOD WAS GOOOOOOD, i didnt notice anything that would wannant an examination from any goverment agency and i think the last post was unfair and probably written by a jealous competitor.
The food was topped up regularly as the pots are small so the turnround is quick.
I never eat 'chips' at a buffet restaurant but this is a good indicator of the rest of the quality and even the chips were fresh and crispy.
The Chinese buffet was excellent from the Chicken Satay and Peanut sauce, to the Beef in Black Bean Sauce and the large Deep fried prawns.
Ohhhhh, the Sesame Toast was excellent, they are very lucky they dont serve Tea, a nice cup of tea and tons of Sesame Toast would have gone down treat, i think they would have barred me from the buffet cart...........

This place is near my home and work place and I used to visit this place quiet often until today I have made up my mind to not visit ever cause of its customer service. I went to the restaurant with my friend and his wife for buffet. For the starter we just filled our bowl with soup and bit food and came back to the table. one of the staff member came to us and asked for drinks which we ordered one drink coke as other 2 of us had cold and flu so were avoiding drinks.
My friend wife had a bottle of water with her already so we just asked the staff member if we can have an empty glass which he denied rudely because they serve only the water bought from the restaurant. I went to the till and said can I pay for the water and get a empty glass as my friends wife is not well and will prefer to drink the water which she has with her. I am not sure if it was the owner and some other staff but they both said no it is no possible to drink outside bought water in our restaurant. We didn't understand the rude behaviour and decided to leave the restaurant without eating our buffet which we just filled to start with starter.
One of the staff said he won't take the money which I insisted will not leave without paying which other staff agreed to take the money. We told them we are regular customers to your restaurant but this behaviour when you know the lady with us is not well is rude. We told them they are not giving us an empty glass even we are ready to pay them for the water but we will prefer to drink our own water in a glass which we can drink without even telling them. We said they are not understanding customer value so we might not come back which they said IT IS FINE DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK. The food is fine but such behaviour will never make us go back and word to mouth will definitely give negative wave in my social life for this restaurant. There are loads of restaurant with nice food but I prefer to go where there is nice environment. I hope the review will be helpful.
