original plough chelmsford

I visited this pub on the way back from chelmsford. It is right next to the station. Not much interesting about the pub itself really. A few real ales including hopback summer lightning that was expensive and only just drinkable.
This pub was however renamed 3 or 4 years ago apparently and made into a theme pub but after the initial rush it did not do well so it reverted to being the plough.
This is good to see at a time when proper pubs are east disappearing. It will have to keep its ale better though if it wants the attentions an camra.
