caribbean scene restaurant jerry raffles square stratford london

This is a new restaurant near the theatre. Most of the well known caribbean dishes such as curried goat and jerk chicken are present as well as burgers and other snacks. I visited this restaurant with a friend last saturday and had salt fish fritters followed by roti bread filled with curried goat.
The goat was not on the bone so it was easy to eat. This was followed by lemon sorbet which was strongly flavoured and sweet.

The starters were a little small but main dishes were generous. Service was friendly and efficient. I would give this place 7 out of 10.
It is a bar and restaurant and it can be a little noisy and it is not cosy 4 sure but food is good and service friendly. Expect to pay about 25 pounds 4 free courses and 2 drinks which is quite competetive.

I've eaten there twice now.

Was disappointed the first time because their idea of 'very hot' was fairly mild. Still, it's adverised as 'family'.

Main thoughts on both occasions were that the staff were having a better time than the customers - service is a bit slow and if you complain amout something they kindof laugh it off.
